Alti Mora
History
It is a true family story which, through its values and expertise, has become an international renowned supplier, providing ingredients for the most prestigious brands and luxury products designers. Alti Mora is the ambassador of that long tradition.
It all began in 1901, when the great-father, the family patriarch, launched local oils business.
From the very beginning, quality of ingredients and perfection of his productions were his true business identity.
In 1925, the grandfather, eldest son of the patriarch, went into exile from the region which was colonized by Spain in the North of Morocco and moved to the border of the Rif Mountains.
He continued expanding oils trade from his new base.
In 1945, the family acquired a large estate in a valley called "Valley of Protection", located in the entrance area of the Rif Mountains.
It is a rich valley, known by the fertility of its soil and the beauty of its landscapes and climate.
The richness of this region, renowned by the quality of its elements, inspired the grandfather to create and launch a high quality terroir products business.
In 1947, the family industry development takes on another dimension, thanks to the contribution of the grandmother: It is the creation of the first finished cosmetics and skincare goods, made of precious ingredients and essential oils. They were mainly marketed to Moroccans and French residents.
In 1958, the family continues, with success, the expansion of its activities.
After natural cosmetics and skincare goods, the sons - uncles - begin to market leather and fabric products for French partners and brands operating in France.
Beginning in the 60’s, the family diversified its activities by providing in bulk beauty ingredients to different manufacturers and brands in the Mediterranean countries: Italy, Greece, Spain, Tunisia and France.
The specific requests of the partners, according to each country and each region’s culture and exigency, have strongly influenced the family designing and manufacturing philosophy.
This interchange has led to the creation of unique and high quality products, reaching exceptional levels of sophistication in the Mediterranean.
During the 90’s, the family had agreed on a new strategy: this is to limit the business stream at a very selective network of high end brands and producers in the Mediterranean.
In 2014, the great-grand-son creates Am Alti Mora brand. It summarizes the Mediterranean influence, the experience, the sophistication and all the tradition of refined and noble creations, shaped and conveyed over more than a century.
